It’s kinda hard to believe that I had a girl who looked like this seven years ago. Just from the picture you can she was kinda spunky.
She’d also get really quiet and pretty. Not that she’s not pretty in the above picture. She is.
She also liked to run away in fields.

Oh good. She came back to make me coffee. Good girl.
Now folks are saying that she’s mini me. But I will say that she’s cooler then I am.
She’s still spunky. She’s still pretty. She still likes to run in fields She still makes coffee, which I like to take advantage of every now and again.
This little lady is going to be seven tomorrow. SEVEN! It seems young when you didn’t give birth to them. Now it seems impossible that she’s going to be seven. I’ve known her for seven years. We love her. She was a surprise. And she was the best kinda of surprise to a couple of messed up parents at the time. Her parents were really just in a big mire of grief and they weren’t sure which way us up or down or sideways. But Jesus used her to start to help light up our darkness. We love her for it. She helped us. Even though she doesn’t know it. She’s still spunky. She’s still pretty. She still likes to run in fields She still makes coffee, which I like to take advantage of every now and again.
Ellison Reese, one day we’re going to tell you a story. It’s a sad story, but it’s a sweet story of grace and healing. You’re a big part of that story, because you helped your parents heal. You helped your family. Ever since that day you entered the world, you’ve been helping us. You’ve been helping us with your laugh. Your smile. Your giggles. Your silly stories. Your pretty pictures. Your funky outfits. Your awesome snuggles and hugs. You’ve helped. We love you. We love you bunches.
